In this study we compared variation in six pharmacogenes detected by whole genome sequencing (WGS) to a targeted commercial panel in a cohort of 308 individuals with family history of pediatric heart disease. In 1% of the cohort, WGS identified rare variants that altered the interpretation of metabolizer status and would thus prevent potential errors in gene-based dosing.

The aims of this study were to assess the change in height standard deviation score (SDS) and the final adult height (FAH) in children who underwent chemotherapy-only conditioned HSCT and to identify predictors of poor growth.
Materials And Methods: We conducted a retrospective hospital medical record review (1984-2010) of children (1-10 years) who underwent chemotherapy-only conditioned HSCT, noting anthropology measurements at cancer diagnosis, HSCT, 10 years old and FAH.

Based on a survey of the psychotherapy histories of 600 lesbians, gay men, and bisexuals, the number, duration, and circumstances of each therapy episode, and respondents' views of their therapists and of therapy, are reported. Findings suggest that lesbians and gay men are among the most active and satisfied--but least acknowledged--consumers of psychotherapy. Routine inclusion of sexual orientation as a demographic variable in mental health services research is proposed.
