The training of human resources for health (HRH) is a recurring concern. The Virtual Campus for Public Health (VCPH) - the educational platform of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) - seeks to improve access to public health education, emphasizing leadership training for teams that plan, implement, and evaluate policies and educational initiatives.The objective of this work is to present the results of a consultation with experts on the virtual course "Leadership for Educational Management in Health Organizations", as part of a PAHO/VCPH strategy to strengthen leadership capacities for educational management in the Americas.

The Virtual Campus for Public Health (VCPH) is the educational platform of the Pan American Health Organization, conceived as a tool for technical cooperation.The objectives of this article are to: characterize the training offered at the VCPH, identifying its virtual courses; characterize course participants; describe technological updating processes and the advances made in terms of accessibility; and identify the VCPH's relationship with the main lines of cooperation of the Pan American Health Organization.The VCPH has developed 210 tutored courses and 226 self-learning courses since 2007, related to the Organization's policies.

The objective of this document is to describe the steps in the development of the country node of the Virtual Campus for Public Health (VPHC) in Venezuela, with a view to enhancing continuing education in virtual learning environments and strengthening the abilities and knowledge of health workers, which was defined as a national priority. Eliminating geographical barriers, offering flexible schedules, and providing opportunities for real-time, low-cost interaction with experts were key aspects of the development of the Venezuela node. The VPHC nodes offered by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), both at the regional and country levels, allow for large-scale training of health workers.
