Macrophytes can be efficient in the treatment of this wastewater due to the removal of the main pollutants. The objectives of this study are to assess the impacts of wastewater, mainly composed of poultry slaughterhouse effluent, on a Pampean stream and to evaluate the convenience of phytoremediation alternative with Spirodela intermedia.
