Since its inception, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has relied upon vessel opacification with iodinated contrast to plan, guide, and assess the results of the procedure. Yet revisiting this fundamental concept is important in contemporary PCI practice, especially in patients with high-risk clinical or anatomical profiles. In addition to decreasing the probability of acute kidney injury during PCI, limiting the volume of iodinated contrast allows the operator to perform more thorough interventions by relying on intracoronary imaging and physiology, ultimately contributing to more complete revascularization and improving the efficacy and durability of the intervention.

We aimed to compare outcomes in patients with e-ICA occlusion and large ischemic core infarcts treated with EVT vs medical management (MM).
Methods: This was a secondary analysis of the SELECT2 trial, a randomized controlled trial conducted at 31 international sites.
Objectives: To examine factors impacting diagnostic evaluation of suspected deep vein thrombosis (DVT) by analyzing the test ordering patterns and provider decision-making within a universal health coverage system in Hungary.
Methods: We analyzed test orders for suspected DVT between 2007 and 2020, and the financial framework influencing diagnostic practices. An anonymous survey was also conducted among Emergency Department physicians to explore factors influencing diagnostic decision-making.
Introduction: The integration of AI into healthcare is widely anticipated to revolutionize medical diagnostics, enabling earlier, more accurate disease detection and personalized care.
Methods: In this study, we developed and validated an AI-assisted diagnostic support tool using only routinely ordered and broadly available blood tests to predict the presence of major chronic and acute diseases as well as rare disorders.
Results: Our model was tested on both retrospective and prospective datasets comprising over one million patients.

Background: We aimed to investigate whether rescue stenting (RS) following failed mechanical thrombectomy (MT) for acute basilar artery occlusion results in superior functional outcomes and enhanced safety compared with the natural history of failed MT.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study utilized data from the Posterior Circulation Ischemic Stroke Evaluation: Analyzing Radiographic and Intra-Procedural Predictors for Mechanical Thrombectomy registry, encompassing 8 high-volume centers in the United States and covering the period from 2015 to 2021. Patients with basilar artery occlusion who experienced failed MT (modified Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction score of 0-2a after at least 1 attempt of clot retrieval) were categorized based on whether they received additional intervention with RS.

Specifically, we conducted a transcriptomic analysis to annotate the transcription start sites (TSSs) and transcription end sites (TESs) of the virus by utilizing Cap Analysis of gene expression sequencing on the Illumina platform and direct RNA sequencing on the Oxford Nanopore technology device.
