Background: Infertility is a pressing global public health concern, affecting millions worldwide, and the diagnosis of unexplained infertility poses particular challenges. Human seminal plasma allergy, a rarely diagnosed type I hypersensitivity reaction, emerges as a potential but often overlooked contributor to female infertility. With rare reported cases globally, the condition's low awareness and insufficient differential diagnosis may mask its actual prevalence.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFHere, we describe a case of anaphylaxis secondary to rivaroxaban in a 61-year-old woman 24 hours after orthopedic surgery. 10-15 minutes after ingestion of rivaroxaban and nimesulide, the patient's palms started itching, her face and lips swelled, her face flushed, she developed shortness of breath and subsequently lost consciousness. Serum tryptase levels at the time of the anaphylactic reaction were elevated, with subsequent measurement one month later returning a value within the normal range.

We conducted a qualitative investigation of the social dynamics and moral attitudes that shape PCE practices among university students in two major metropolitan areas in the UK. Our thematic analysis of eight focus groups ( = 66) suggests a moral ecology that operates within the social infrastructure of the university.
