Objectives: Cytokine receptor-like factor 2 ( CRLF2 ) rearrangement is found in approximately 50% of pediatric Ph-like B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), and around 50% of CRLF2 + cases harbor JAK mutations. The light responses of rod and cone photoreceptors have been studied electrophysiologically for decades, largely with ex vivo approaches that disrupt the photoreceptors' subretinal microenvironment. Here we report the use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) to measure light-driven signals of rod photoreceptors in vivo. Visible light stimulation over a 200-fold intensity range caused correlated rod outer segment (OS) elongation and increased light scattering in wild-type mice, but not in mice lacking the rod G-protein alpha subunit, transducin (Gα), revealing these responses to be triggered by phototransduction.

Unlabelled: Joubert syndrome (JS) is a very rare autosomal recessive disorder, involving agenesis or dysgenesis of cerebellar vermis and brain stem. A tetraploid/near tetraploid (T/NT) karyotype is a rare finding in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Here we report 38 AML patients with a T/NT karyotype, including 26 men and 12 women with a median age of 65 years. T/NT karyotype was detected at initial diagnosis of AML in 16 patients, and acquired during the course of disease in 22 patients.

Metallogel of iron-carboxylates was obtained from trans-1,2-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid in dimethylformamide (DMF) at basic condition. Spectroscopic and SEM morphology study of the iron-metallogel revealed that the iron complex with dicarboxylic acid was linked together via carboxylates and led to a supramolecular helical like architecture. The synthesized metallogel served as an excellent template for in-situ reduction of silver ion to silver particles micro to nano scale range.

Previously, we reported that B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients contained elevated levels of microvesicles (MVs). However, given the quiescent nature of CLL B-cells and the relative indolence of the disease, the dynamics of MV generation and their unique phenotypes are not clearly defined. In this study, we find that CLL B-cells generate MVs spontaneously and can be further induced by B-cell receptor-ligation.
