The relative bioavailability and impact of food and the proton pump inhibitor rabeprazole on the pharmacokinetics of a maribavir powder-for-oral-suspension formulation was investigated in a Phase 1 open-label study in healthy adult volunteers. A single 200-mg maribavir dose was administered as the commercial tablet (Treatment A), powder formulation (Treatment B), or powder formulation with a high-fat/high-calorie meal (Treatment C) in Part 1, and as the powder formulation alone (Treatment D) or following administration of rabeprazole 20 mg once daily for 5 days (Treatment E) in Part 2. Maribavir maximum plasma concentration following Treatment B was 18% lower versus Treatment A, whereas the area under the concentration-time curve (AUC) from time 0 to the last quantifiable concentration or infinity were similar.

Background: Prucalopride (1 or 2 mg once daily) is approved for treating adults with chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC).
Objectives: We determined the effect of age, body mass index (BMI), and renal function on the efficacy and safety of prucalopride in adults with CIC.
Design: Data were pooled from six 12-week, phase III-IV clinical studies in adults who received prucalopride (1 or 2 mg once daily) or placebo for CIC.
Summary: Spatial Transcriptomics is revolutionizing our ability to phenotypically characterize complex biological tissues and decipher cellular niches. With current technologies such as VisiumHD, thousands of genes can be detected across millions of spots (also called cells or bins depending on the technologies). Building upon the metacell concept, we present a workflow, called SuperSpot, to combine adjacent and transcriptomically similar spots into "metaspots".

The aim better define the role of genomics as an OM risk by investigating the association between genetic variants and the presence and severity of OM in pediatric patients with osteosarcoma (OS) undergoing chemotherapy (CT).
Methods: A longitudinal observational retrospective study was conducted.
Prostate cancer (PC) is one of the leading causes of cancer-related mortality among men. Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) has been shown to increase survival in men with metastatic PC. Despite its efficacy, ADT's long-term use adversely impacts quality of life (QoL) due to multiple side effects.

Therefore, this study proposes a protocol to measure parameters related to physical risk factors contributing to lower limb WRMSD, during orthopedic surgery procedures. The protocol development was preceded by an initial phase of understanding and specifying the context of use, followed by pre-tests in laboratory environment.

Aims: To develop a model capable of distinguishing carcinoma ex-pleomorphic adenoma from pleomorphic adenoma using a convolutional neural network architecture.
Methods And Results: A cohort of 83 Brazilian patients, divided into carcinoma ex-pleomorphic adenoma (n = 42) and pleomorphic adenoma (n = 41), was used for training a convolutional neural network. The whole-slide images were annotated and fragmented into 743 869 (carcinoma ex-pleomorphic adenomas) and 211 714 (pleomorphic adenomas) patches, measuring 224 × 224 pixels.

Assay for Transposase-Accessible Chromatin sequencing (ATAC-Seq) is a widely used technique to explore gene regulatory mechanisms. For most ATAC-Seq data from healthy and diseased tissues such as tumors, chromatin accessibility measurement represents a mixed signal from multiple cell types. In this work, we derive reliable chromatin accessibility marker peaks and reference profiles for most non-malignant cell types frequently observed in the microenvironment of human tumors.

However, the availability and cost of ADMs limit their use in prepectoral reconstruction-which requires large amounts of ADM-and alternative matrices are therefore being explored.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of human-porcine ADM constructs via clinical outcomes and histologic evidence of graft integration.
This study investigated the local, remote, and contralateral effects of a four-week intrinsic foot muscle exercise intervention in recreationally active participants on foot parameters, flexibility, and performance of the posterior chain (PC). Twenty-eight healthy participants (12f, 16m) were randomly assigned to a control group or performed 2 × 6 min of foot exercises twice daily unilaterally at least five days/week for four weeks. At baseline (M1), after the intervention (M2), and after a four-week wash-out period (M3), we assessed bilateral Foot Posture Index-6, medial longitudinal arch mobility, single-leg stance balance, range of motion (ROM) (first metatarsophalangeal joint and ankle), and flexibility and performance of the PC.

AI-assisted clinical decision support (CDS) integrated into electronic health records (EHR) was demonstrated to have a significant potential to improve clinical care. With the rapid proliferation of AI-assisted CDS, came the realization that a lack of careful consideration of socio-technical issues surrounding the implementation and maintenance of these tools can result in unanticipated consequences, missed opportunities, and suboptimal uptake of these potentially useful technologies.

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a high-fat diet on metabolic parameters and prostate morphology in wild-type (WT) and adiponectin knockout (KO) mice.
Main Methods: Male WT and KO mice were fed a control diet (CD) or high-fat diet (HFD) for 6 months.
Aims: We hypothesize that miRs are key players in the dynamics of the hypertrophy phenotype in aortic stenosis (AS) patients. In our study, we aimed to identify the transcriptional patterns (protein-coding transcripts and miRs) from myocardial sample biopsies that could be associated with the absence of left ventricular (LV) mass regression after aortic valve replacement (AVR) in patients with severe AS and LV hypertrophy.
Methods And Results: We prospectively included 40 patients with severe AS, LV hypertrophy, and preserved ejection fraction undergoing AVR.
The Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS) Registry (NCT01990040) is a multinational real-world study evaluating the long-term safety of teduglutide in patients with SBS and intestinal failure (SBS-IF) in routine clinical practice. This paper describes the study methodology and baseline characteristics of adult patients who have (ever-treated) or have never (never-treated) received teduglutide. A total of 1411 adult patients (679 ever-treated; 732 never-treated) were enrolled at 124 sites across 17 countries.

However, the determinants of interest and usability may vary locally and reports of uptake in the literature are variable.
Objective: The aim of this mixed methods feasibility study was to assess the acceptability and potential utility of immersive VR in critically ill patients at a single institution.
The seedcorn maggot, Delia platura (Meigen), is a pest affecting many crops, including corn. The early spring emergence of adults and belowground seed damage by maggots leave no room for rescue treatments during the short growing season in New York State. Degree-day (DD) models play a crucial role in predicting insect emergence and adult peak activity and are essential for effective pest management.
