Rationale: PCDH19-related epilepsy manifested various clinical features, including febrile epilepsy, with or without intellectual disability, and psych-behavioral disorders. However, there are few studies demonstrating abdominal pain as the first symptom.
Patient Concerns: A 3-year-old Chinese girl presented with clustered seizures of fever sensitivity accompanied by abdominal pain.
Organic additives with multiple functional groups have shown great promise in improving the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells. The functional groups can passivate undercoordinated ions to reduce nonradiative recombination losses. However, how these groups synergistically affect the enhancement beyond passivation is still unclear.

We examined the therapeutic effects and underlying mechanisms of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs), individually or in combination, in a rat model of anterior cruciate ligament-induced degenerative osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee. This study seeks to advance clinical approaches to OA treatment.

This study aimed at exploring the potential of a Ga-labeled peptidomimetic radioligand, [Ga]Ga-DOTA-RQAR-kbt, for PET imaging through its irreversible binding to the suppression of tumorigenicity 14 (ST14). An Arg-Gln-Ala-Arg (RQAR) tetrapeptide was conjugated with 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid for gallium-68 radiolabeling.

Hereby, a dual-specific probe targeting Glypican-3 (GPC3) and prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) was evaluated for HCC PET imaging. The probe was prepared by conjugating TJ12P2, a GPC3-targeting peptide previously reported by our group, to a highly potent PSMA inhibitor via a polyethylene glycol linker and further tethered to the 1,4,7-triazacyclononane-1,4,7-triacetic acid (NOTA) chelator.

A total of 144 30-day-old Langshan chickens with similar body weights were randomly divided into three treatment groups, with six replicates per group and eight chickens per replicate: the control group (CON) was fed a corn-soybean meal basal diet, while the rapeseed meal mixture group (RSM) and the fermented rapeseed meal mixture group (FRSM) were fed diets substituting 5 % of soybean meal with rapeseed meal mixture and fermented rapeseed meal mixture, respectively. The trial lasted from 30 to 58 days of age.

Objective: Physical activity in pregnancy decreases the risk of adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes. This study evaluates the association between first trimester physical activity, assessed by Kaiser Physical Activity Survey (KPAS) scores, and adverse perinatal outcomes.
Study Design: This is a secondary analysis of a prospective cohort study in which patients were administered the KPAS in each trimester.
Transpiration is a key process that couples the land-atmosphere exchange of water and carbon, and its maximum water transport ability affects plant productivity. Functional traits significantly influence the maximum transpiration rate; however, which factor plays the dominant role remains unknown. SAPFLUXNET dataset, which includes sap flux density of diverse species worldwide, provides fundamental data to test the importance of photosynthetic and hydraulic traits on maximum tree-level sap flux density (J).

Current drugs for peripheral neuropathic pain often fall short in efficacy or come with severe side effects, emphasizing the critical need for the development of highly effective and well-tolerated alternatives. Sophoricoside (SOP) is a nature product-derived isoflavone that possesses various pharmacological effects on inflammatory and neuropathy diseases.

Gelation is a critical property of citrus pectin. However, the roles played by neutral sugar side-chains on acid-induced pectin gelation remain poorly understood. Herein, galactan- or/and arabinan-eliminated pectins (P-G, P-A, and P-AG) were used to investigate the effects of side-chains on gelation.

The objective of the present study was to develop a new patient-reported outcomes instrument, the Symptoms Evolution of Long COVID‑19 (SE-LC19), and establish its content validity.
Methods: The 40-item SE-LC19 instrument was developed based on patient-relevant empirical evidence from scientific literature and clinical guidelines that reported symptoms specific to long COVID.
In this study, a promising active food-packaging film of Gelatin/polyvinyl alcohol (GEL/PVA) integrated with doubly stabilized clove essential oil chitosome nanoparticles (CNP) was developed to maintain the freshness of marinated steaks. Results from the XRD and SEM experiments indicated excellent compatibility between the CNP and GEL/PVA matrix. Additionally, CNP was found to introduce more free hydroxyl groups, enhance the water retention and surface wettability of the CNP-GEL/PVA (C-G/P) film, and significantly reduce the swelling index from 963.

Nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P), as major nutrients required for plant growth, exhibit ecological stoichiometric coupling in many ecosystems. The increased availability of nitrogen can exacerbate the ecological effects of phosphorus.

The external oblique intercostal (EOI) block can provide a dermatomal sensory blockade of T6 to T10 using an anterior axillary line injection. The bilateral rectus sheath (RS) block can significantly reduce early postoperative pain caused by umbilical or periumbilical incisions.

Because of its large molecular weight, BV is cleared slowly in vivo , which caused damage to healthy tissues and organs. On account of this situation, using the pretargeting strategy with DNA/RNA analogs, such as peptide nucleic acid (PNA), is an effective way of treating solid tumors.

Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics and genetic variants in three children with late-onset Multiple acyl-Coenzyme A dehydrogenase deficiency (MADD type Ⅲ).
Methods: Clinical data of three children diagnosed with late-onset MADD at the Children's Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University between March 2020 and March 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. All children were subjected to whole exome sequencing (WES), and candidate variants were verified by Sanger sequencing.
The gene encodes a transcription factor in which pathogenic variants have been associated with both isolated and syndromic congenital cataracts. We aim to review the variants in the C-terminal DNA-binding domain associated with non-syndromic congenital cataracts and describe a patient with a novel, disease-causing de novo missense variant. Published reports of C-terminal variants and their associated congenital cataracts and ophthalmic findings were reviewed.

Methods: General information, clinical and neurophysiological data of 275 axonal CMT families were collected. Genetic screening was performed by inherited peripheral neuropathy related genes panel or whole exome sequencing.
To solve the problems of slow regeneration and mismatch of axon regeneration after peripheral nerve injury, nerve guidance conduits (NGCs) have been widely used to promote nerve regeneration. Multichannel NGCs have been widely studied to mimic the structure of natural nerve bundles. However, multichannel conduits are prone to structural instability.
