In the context of the prevalent winter air quality issues in China marked by declining PM and rising O, this study employed a modified WRF-Chem model to examine the aerosol radiation interaction (ARI), heterogeneous chemistry (AHC), and their combined impact (ALL) on the variations in O and PM during the 2014-2020 in eastern China. Our analysis confirmed that ARI curtailed O while elevating PM. AHC reduced O through heterogeneous absorption of NO and hydroxides while notably fostering fine-grained sulfate, resulting in a PM increase.

To understand the macrozoobenthic community composition and spatial-temporal distribution characteristics of macrobenthos in the waters of Miaodao Archipelago, Yantai, Shandong and its response to habitat changes, we conducted surveys of macrobenthos and environmental elements in the waters of Miaodao Islands in May (spring), August (summer), and October (autumn) in 2022. Attachment of microalgae on the inner surfaces of photobioreactors impacts the efficiency of swine wastewater treatment by reducing the light intensity, which has been overlooked in previous studies. This study investigated the relationship between microalgal attachment biomass and light intensity in photobioreactors, determined the optimal attachment time for effective pollutant removal, and clarified the mechanisms of microalgal attachment in swine wastewater. The bone marrow microenvironment (BME) drives drug resistance in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) through leukemic cell interactions with bone marrow (BM) niches, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Here, we show that the interaction between ALL and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) through integrin β1 induces an epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-like program in MSC-adherent ALL cells, resulting in drug resistance and enhanced survival. Moreover, single-cell RNA sequencing analysis of ALL-MSC co-culture identifies a hybrid cluster of MSC-adherent ALL cells expressing both B-ALL and MSC signature genes, orchestrated by a WNT/β-catenin-mediated EMT-like program.

A hybrid design method for broadband radar cross section (RCS) reduction is proposed and successfully demonstrated based on the coupling effects between diffuse and absorptive structures. The reflection energy is distributed into more directions away from the source direction by the one-bit diffuse coding metasurface (CM). The two-layer resistive frequency selective surface (RFSS) is employed in the one-bit CM structure, reducing the amplitude of the co- and cross-polarized reflected waves under circularly polarized wave incidence by converting it into ohmic loss.

Acute erythroid leukemia (AEL) is characterized by a distinct morphology, mutational spectrum, lack of preclinical models, and poor prognosis. Here, using multiplexed genome editing of mouse hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells and transplant assays, we developed preclinical models of AEL and non-erythroid acute leukemia and describe the central role of mutational cooperativity in determining leukemia lineage. Different combination of mutations in Trp53, Bcor, Dnmt3a, Rb1, and Nfix resulted in the development of leukemia with an erythroid phenotype, accompanied by the acquisition of alterations in signaling and transcription factor genes that recapitulate human AEL by cross-species genomic analysis.
