Members of the families Thermosynechococcaceae and Thermostichaceae are well-known unicellular thermophilic cyanobacteria and a non-thermophilic genus was newly classified into the former. Analysis of the codon usage bias (CUB) of cyanobacterial species inhabiting different thermal and non-thermal niches will benefit the understanding of their genetic and evolutionary characteristics. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that is relapsed and/or refractory post-allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is usually fatal. In a prior study, we demonstrated that AML relapse in high-risk patients was prevented by post-HCT immunotherapy with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-specific donor CD8 T cells engineered to express a high-affinity Wilms Tumor Antigen 1 (WT1)-specific T-cell receptor (T). However, in the present study, infusion of EBV- or Cytomegalovirus (CMV)-specific T did not clearly improve outcomes in fifteen patients with active disease post-HCT.

Multifunctional coatings have great application value in the protection of Marine equipment, ships and ship facilities, but they still suffer from the disadvantages of high preparation cost and complicated synthesis methods. Herein, employing a simple method to synthesize black carbon nitride (BCN), as the filler in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) to construct BCN/PDMS composite coating with a multifunctional anti-corrosion/antifouling coating capable of photothermal self-healing property. Experimental results exhibit that the BCN/PDMS coating can still possesses excellent corrosion resistance after 28 d of immersion in the simulated seawater, and the impedance modulus still manages to reach 6.

Electrochemical reduction of naturally abundant nitrogen (N) under ambient conditions is a promising method for ammonia (NH) synthesis, while the development of a highly active, stable and low-cost catalyst remains a challenge. Herein, the N reduction reaction of TM@g-BCN in electrochemical nitrogen reduction has been systematically investigated using density functional theory (DFT) calculations and compared with that of TM@g-CN. Semiconductor heterojunction with functional integration can be used as an excellent matrix for the ultrasensitive detection of bisphenol A (BPA) with low molecular affinity. Here, a simple, low-cost and sensitive surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) strategy using g-CN/TiO heterojunction as substrate was presented for detection of BPA residues in foods. The g-CN/TiO achieved specific chemisorption for target analyte by the formation of intermolecular H-bond between g-CN and BPA.

Constructing alternating donor-acceptor (D-A) units within g-CN represents an effective strategy for enhancing photocatalytic performance through improved charge carrier separation while concurrently addressing energy shortages and facilitating wastewater remediation. Here, a series of D-A-type conjugated photocatalysts (CNBTC-X) are prepared using g-CN as an acceptor unit and different masses of 5-bromo-2-thiophenecarboxaldehyde (BTC) as a donor unit by a one-step thermal polymerization. With Ce@g-CN as a heterogeneous semiconductor photocatalyst, BuNCl as both a redox catalyst and a hydrogen atom transfer catalyst, the first example of semiheterogeneous photocatalytic cross-dehydrogenative coupling of -heteroarenes and alkanes/ethers with H evolution was developed. Both a diverse array of high-value alkylated -heteroarenes and clean H can be efficiently coproduced under sacrificial reagent- and chemical oxidant/reductant-free conditions. Combining both the reversible Ce/Ce redox pair and the reversible Cl̅/Cl ̇ redox pair can considerably improve the photocatalytic efficiency.

Photocatalytic hydrogen peroxide (HO) generation on the catalyst surface from oxygen is an electron-demanding process, making the construction of an electron-rich surface highly advantageous. In this study, a localized electric field was observed on the surface of polymeric carbon nitride (g-CN) when alkali metal cations were adsorbed onto it. These fields effectively inhibited surface carrier recombination and extended their lifespan, thereby enhancing HO production.

This study was conducted retrospectively on a cohort of 68 patients with steroid 5 α-reductase 2 (SRD5A2) deficiency and 46,XY disorders of sex development (DSD). Photocatalytic property of nano Ag is weak and its enhancement is important to enlarge its application. Herein, a novel strategy of constructing silver g-CN biochar composite (Ag-CN@BC) as photocatalyst is developed and its photocatalytic degradation of bisphenol A (BPA) coupled with peroxydisulfate (PDS) oxidation process is characterized. Characterization result showed that silver was evenly embedded into the g-CN structure of the nitrogen atoms format, impeding agglomeration of Ag by distributing stably on biochar.
