Complex clinical and functional examination of 662 workers engaged into oil extraction revealed unfavorable influence of shifted expedition work mode on the health state. Chronic diseases were diagnosed in 47% of the examinees. Structure of chronic diseases among the examinees presented prevalent disorders of central nervous system and vegetative regulation.

A possible radiation origin of the astheno-depressive and astheno-somatic disorders developing by nonspecific stress mechanisms is to be investigated.

Exposure to oil products composed of alkanes and aromatics, petrol and tetraethyl lead was proved to be the major hazard for workers of all the occupations. Complex of occupational and industrial hazards of Bashkirian oil enterprises harms the health status of workers, which induces the high prevalence of chronic diseases.
