Aim: The aim of this systematic review is to present the pooled estimated prevalence and risk factors for cognitive impairment (CI) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Background: Patients with COPD suffer from progressive and irreversible airflow limitation, resulting in continuous impairment of lung function, which in addition to causing lesions in the lungs, often accrues to other organs as well. In recent years, a growing number of cross-sectional and longitudinal studies have shown that hypoxia is an important factor in causing CI and that there is an important link between them, but the assessment of co-morbid neurocognitive impairment and dysfunction is often overlooked.

While hematochezia is common in Crohn's disease (CD), severe gastrointestinal hemorrhage causing hemodynamic instability is rare. Strictures, another frequent complication, usually cause obstructive symptoms. We report the first case of hemorrhagic shock from ulcerated ileal strictures as the initial presentation of CD.

Strawberry viruses are significant pathogenic agents in strawberry. The development and application of efficient virus detection technology can effectively reduce the economic losses incurred by virus diseases for strawberry cultivators. In order to rapidly identify strawberry virus species and prevent the spread of virus disease, a multiplex reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction system was established for the simultaneous detection and identification of strawberry mild yellow edge virus (SMYEV), strawberry vein banding virus (SVBV), strawberry mottle virus (SMoV), strawberry polerovirus 1 (SPV-1), strawberry pallidosis-associated virus (SPaV), and strawberry crinivirus 4 (SCrV-4).

Accurate identification and functional annotation of splicing isoforms and non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), alongside full-length protein-encoding transcripts, are critical for understanding gene (mis)regulation and metabolic reprogramming in Alzheimer's disease (AD). This study aims to provide a comprehensive and accurate transcriptome resource to improve existing AD transcript databases. : Gene mis-regulation and metabolic reprogramming play a key role in AD, yet existing transcript databases lack accurate and comprehensive identification of splicing isoforms and lncRNAs.
