Land resources are vital for urban development and construction. Abandoned industrial areas often contain large amounts of heavy metals from past industrial activities. Accurate knowledge of soil pollutant content and spatial distribution is crucial to avoid health risks and achieve sustainable soil use.

Background: Recurrent Miscarriage (RM) is a chronic and heterogeneous autoimmune disease. Platelet factor 4 (PF4) has been found to be involved in the pathogenesis of RM.
Objective: We aimed to explore the role and mechanism of PF4 on trophoblasts in RM in vitro.
Accurate 3D segmentation of fluid lesions in optical coherence tomography (OCT) is crucial for the early diagnosis of diabetic macular edema (DME). However, higher-dimensional spatial complexity and limited annotated data present significant challenges for effective 3D lesion segmentation. To address these issues, we propose a novel semi-supervised strategy using a correlation mutual learning framework for segmenting 3D DME lesions from 3D OCT images.

Method: This study analyzed data from 55 CD patients who had DECTE and endoscopy from 2020 to 2022. Patients were divided into moderate-severe (Crohn's Disease Endoscopic Index of Severity (CDEIS) ≥ 10) and remission-mild (CDEIS < 10) groups.
The remarkable capability of Tardigrade to survive under extreme conditions has been partially attributed to Dsup, an intrinsically disordered, highly positively charged protein. Dsup has been shown to bind to DNA in vitro, a property that has been associated with the capability of Dsup to exhibit stress-protective effects when expressed in mammalian cells. However, DNA binding of Dsup has not been visualized in living cells and expression of Dsup in different cell types was associated with either protective or detrimental effects.
