Pediatric sporadic Burkitt lymphoma of the head and neck: A case series and analysis of national trends.

Objective: Burkitt lymphoma (BL) is an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma with the sporadic subtype being predominant in North America. The clinical presentations and outcomes of pediatric BL within the head and neck were assessed using both an institutional case series and the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Cancer database.

Methods: The electronic medical record at our quaternary children's hospital was queried over a 22-year period (2000-2022) for BL patients with head and neck manifestations.

'I thought they would do it on the spot': why do people with non-traumatic musculoskeletal pain present to emergency departments?

Objective To investigate the reasons patients with non-traumatic musculoskeletal pain (NTMSP) present to an emergency department (ED), their experience of care and perceptions about managing their condition in the future. Methods A qualitative study using semi-structured interviews with patients with NTMSP presenting to a suburban ED. A purposive sampling strategy included participants with different pain characteristics, demographics and psychological factors.

Addressing Health Equity Goals for COVID-19 Vaccination Using Integrated Data and Mapping Tools: A Collaboration Between Academia, Public Health, and Health Care Systems in Columbus and Franklin County, Ohio.

Context: Data sharing between local health departments and health care systems is challenging during public health crises. In early 2021, the supply of COVID-19 vaccine was limited, vaccine appointments were difficult to schedule, and state health departments were using a phased approach to determine who was eligible to get the vaccine.

Program: Multiple local health departments and health care systems with the capacity for mobile and pop-up vaccine clinics came together in Columbus and Franklin County, Ohio, with a common objective to coordinate where, when, and how to set up mobile/pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics.

Making a difference in the real world. User-centred impact evaluation of an eight-country, community-based early childhood programme.

This paper presents a unique approach to the Impact Evaluation of a project that focused on low-threshold intergenerational play-based interactions in order to support young children from marginalised communities in eight European countries. The approach builds upon the work of Fetterman's Empowerment Evaluation and Patton's Utilization Focused Evaluation and brings them together to form an adapted model of evaluation. We outline in this paper how these two well developed methods of evaluation have been applied to a real world context, that is, the impact evaluation of a complex international project.
