Background: Burn wounds are commonly encountered in clinical settings and the management aims at the prevention of mortality and morbidity due to disability. The platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is blood-derived biomaterial that is enriched with growth factors and cytokines that facilitate wound healing. The PRP has proven its efficacy in various other wounds, but its role in post-burn raw areas and graft take has not been validated.

Green enhanced oil recovery (GEOR) has emerged as an eco-friendly alternative to conventional oil recovery techniques, offering a more sustainable way to increase oil extraction while minimizing environmental harm. This review focuses on the potential of biochemicals, particularly biopolymers, and biosurfactants, in improving oil recovery in Indian oilfields. While these biochemicals, such as xanthan gum, scleroglucan, and HEC, have shown promising results in global oilfields, their application in India remains largely unexplored.

In this study, we designed and synthesized a new series of  isoniazid-dihydropyrimidinone molecular hybrids (8a-8n). All compounds were structurally characterized using spectroscopic techniques viz., FTIR, NMR (1H, 13C, HMBC, and HSQC), and HRMS followed by their in vitro anti-tubercular evaluation including their precursors (4a-4n), and a standard anti-tubercular drug (Isoniazid; INH).

An atypical presentation of skull base osteomyelitis (SBO) involving the stylomastoid foramen in a diabetic individual without facial palsy or positive otoscopic ear findings has been presented. A case report of a 78 year old poorly controlled diabetic male who had severe ear pain without otoscopic ear findings and was treated prior with IV antibiotics for a period of two months without relief was referred to our tertiary care Center and was operated by us following which he had complete relief of symptoms. SBO presenting without otoscopic ear findings or facial nerve palsy at the region of the stylomastoid foramen is extremely rare.

We present the synthesis, properties, and imaging applications of a new class of diazaborine-based probes (Peroxynitrite Probe-1, PNP-1) for selective peroxynitrite (ONOO-) imaging in live cells. PNP-1 features a diazaborine-based reaction motif that provides excellent discrimination between H2O2 and ONOO-, solving a persistent challenge of organoboron-based fluorescent probes for oxidative metabolite imaging. We demonstrate the utility of PNP-1 to detect endogenously produced ONOO- in live RAW 264.
