[The role of meibum proteins in the pathogenesis of meibomian gland dysfunction].

Proteins and lipids in the meibum help maintain the balanced chemical composition of the tear film. However, the secretion of the meibomian glands contains various protein fractions, the function and effects of which on the lipid profile remain incompletely understood. This literature review provides a description of the main proteins of the meibum and their roles in the pathogenesis of meibomian gland dysfunction associated with age-related changes and metabolic disorders that lead to impaired tear film functionality.

Conducting Rubber Anisotropy of Electrophysical and Mechanical Properties.

The aim of this work was to determine the anisotropy of the electrophysical and mechanical properties of rubber reinforced with a hybrid filler CNTs&CB (carbon nanotubes and carbon black) as a function of CNT content and the technological parameters of the production process. A significant difference in electrical conductivity (σ) and dielectric permittivity (ε) in three perpendicular directions was found for CNT concentrations ranging from 0 to 0.007 in volume fraction.

[Cell technologies as a basis for the development of regenerative principles for the treatment of lacrimal gland diseases].

The lacrimal gland (LG) is a tubuloacinar exocrine gland composed of acinar, ductal, and myoepithelial cells. Three-dimensional distribution of acinar lobules, ducts, and myoepithelial cells is necessary for the effective functioning of the organ. LG is the main organ of immune surveillance of the ocular surface system.

[Predictive significance of genetic analysis of the development of dry eye disease of different origin].

Unlabelled: One of the etiological causes of dry eye disease (DED) is systemic autoimmune diseases (AID): primary Sjögren's syndrome (PSS), rheumatoid arthritis (RA); their manifestation may begin with ophthalmic symptoms. The relationship of PSS and RA with genetic factors is proven. The contribution of polymorphic markers of the genes , , , , in the development of these diseases is established, as well as their connection with the development of DED.

Analysis of the epidemic situation of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection in Ukraine.

The epidemic process of COVID-19 in the world developed rapidly. The situation with morbidity, despite the establishment of quarantine, the introduction of restrictive anti-epidemic measures, and vaccination, remains difficult. The results of research on the influence of meteorological factors on the dynamics of the incidence of COVID-19, hospitalization, and mortality are ambiguous and contradictory.
