The aim of our study was analysis of efficacy of laparoscopic operations for treatment of complications arising in patients with terminal chronic renal failure (TCRF) on peritoneal dialysis (PH). A total of 86 TCRF patients participated in the trial. The study group consisted of 36 patients who have undergone laparoscopic surgery for correction of dysfunction of the peritoneal catheter, for treatment of acute and progressive chronic diseases of the abdomen.

High blood viscosity is a syndrome that may be attributed to a group of the most important disorders of microcirculation under different pathological conditions of the body. The given syndrome manifests itself by disorders of red blood cell deformability (RBCD), high plasma and whole blood viscosity. 32 patients with a verified diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) were examined, showing varying activity and systemic manifestations.

A questionnaire including 9 main signs: headache, vertigo, vision and hearing derangement, fatigue, hemorrhage, somnolescence, loss of appetite has been elaborated and introduced into the clinical practice. It was revealed that patients with Sjögren's syndrome had an elevated viscosity of the serum in 30% of the cases. These patients complained of headache and vision derangement more often than those with normal indices, though in the first group it did not reach critical values corresponding to an extended clinical picture of the hyperviscous syndrome.
