Screening and characterization of 133 physiologically-relevant environmental chemicals for reproductive toxicity.

Reproduction is a functional outcome that relies on complex cellular, tissue, and organ interactions that span the developmental period to adulthood. Thus, the assessment of its disruption by environmental chemicals would benefit significantly from scalable and innovative approaches to testing using functionally comparable reproductive models such as the nematode C. elegans.

Retrospective Analysis of Oral and Maxillofacial Biopsies: An Institutional Study.

Aim: To determine the preponderance and the distribution of pathological lesions in oral and maxillofacial region reported in and around the Madurai city.

Study Design: Retrospective study on the oral and maxillofacial biopsies taken during 11 years period from 2007 to 2018 in a CSI Dental College, Madurai, Tamilnadu. A total of 1000 cases were analyzed and 904 were selected.

Dental Implants: A Remote Option in Case of Somatic Delusion Disorder.

A 29-year-old female was referred by a psychiatrist for dental implantation and prosthodontic rehabilitation, as she had all her healthy permanent teeth extracted within a span of 2-6 months, due to somatic delusional disorder. She presently refuses artificial dentures and implants with the fear of having worms in her teeth and the fear not yet allayed. The patient cannot be treated for her edentulous state until her psychiatric symptoms are treated.

A Clinicopathological Study of Various Oral Cancer Diagnostic Techniques.

Oral cancer is one of the most commonly occurring malignant tumors in the head and neck regions with high incident rate and mortality rate in the developed countries than in the developing countries. Generally, the survival rate of cancer patients may increase when diagnosed at early stage, followed by prompt treatment and therapy. Recently, cancer diagnosis and therapy design for a specific cancer patient have been performed with the advanced computer-aided techniques.
