Background: Depression and anxiety are the most common types of mental disorders among cancer patients. Many research studies carried out in African countries indicate that anxiety and depression are highly prevalent, but the results vary across regions. Thus, this study aimed to estimate the pooled prevalence and associated factors of depression and anxiety among cancer patients in Africa.

Background: Perinatal depression is a significant public health issue affecting one in four women globally. It occurs at a critical time of a woman's life; affecting her relationships with family, and child's emotional, behavioral, and cognitive development. Considering the burden of the problem to the whole family, this systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to estimate the pooled prevalence of perinatal depression and its determinants in Ethiopia to provide up-to-date evidence at a national level.

Prevalence of potential drug‒drug interactions and associated factors among elderly patients in Ethiopia: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: The occurrence of potential drug‒drug interactions (pDDIs) is a serious global issue that affects all age groups, with the elderly population being the most vulnerable. This is due to their relatively high rates of comorbidity and polypharmacy, as well as physiological changes that can increase the potential for DDIs and the likelihood of adverse drug reactions. The aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of pDDIs and associated factors among elderly patients in Ethiopia.
