The present study was carried out to establish the chemical profile of the methanolic extract of stem bark and investigate its antibacterial property against some human pathogenic bacteria. The extract was analysed using liquid and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. Antibacterial activity of extract against some human pathogenic bacteria was screened using the AlamarBlue method, and MIC and MBC were determined.

The crude extract was obtained by maceration of the powder in methanol and fractions by vacuum chromatography from the methanolic extract. To study the anti-inflammatory activity , red blood cell lysis inhibition assay and albumin denaturation inhibition were performed, while measurements of carrageenan-induced paw oedema and formalin-induced pain in albino mice were performed.

Materials And Methods: Phenolic constituents of extracts were evaluated using HPLC-DAD. Aqueous extracts of , , , , "nkui" spices, and "yellow soup" spices were tested at two doses (200 and 400 mg/kg).
Paracetamol is a commonly used analgesic/antipyretic whose long-term intake or overdose is associated with renal and hepatic injuries. The aim of this study was to determine the hepatonephroprotective mechanisms of the aqueous extract of stem bark (AEAASB) on renal and hepatic failure resulting from paracetamol overdose. Forty-five rats were divided into nine groups ( = 5); these were treated once daily for 8 days with 5 ml/kg distilled water (normal, negative, and satellite controls); 0.

Objective: The objective of this study was to elucidate the antisecretory mechanism of the root bark aqueous extract of (RBAEDM) in Wistar rats. . RBAEDM was tested on three experimental animal models of gastric acid hypersecretion including pyloric ligation (PL), PL with histamine, and carbachol pretreatments.
