Retrospective analysis of the surgical treatment results in 34 patients, operated for intraoperatively diagnosed Mirizzi syndrome (MS), was done. Analysis of intraoperative changes have witnessed, that while transition occurrence of MS from the first to the fifth type a severity of morphological changes in a gallbladder-biliary ducts-duodenum system enhanced with duodenal integrity loss and development of cholecystobiliary or cholecystodigestive fistula. Surgical correction of MS have envisaged cholecystectomy performance or subtotal resection of gallbladder, plastic closure of biliary fistula, using various procedures, external biliary draining and formation of hepaticojejunostomy in accordance to Roux method.

The results of surgical treatment of 184 patients for obstructive jaundice and an acute cholangitis in choledocholithiasis were analyzed. Acute cholangitis was diagnosed in 62 (33.7%) patients.

This paper reports the main results of the 2012 joint Norwegian-Russian expedition to investigate the radioecological situation of the Stepovogo Fjord on the eastern coast of Novaya Zemlya, where the nuclear submarine K-27 and solid radioactive waste was dumped. Based on in situ gamma measurements and the analysis of seawater and sediment samples taken around the submarine, there was no indication of any leakage from the reactor units of K-27. With regard to the radioecological status of Stepovogo Fjord, activity concentrations of all radionuclides in seawater, sediment and biota in 2012 were in general lower than reported from the previous investigations in the 1990s.

Study aim - to elucidate possibilities of the use of precision administration of mononuclear bone marrow cells (MBMC) for the treatment of myocardial ischemia and heart failure. "Intramyocardial Multiple Precision Administration of Mononuclear Bone Marrow Cells in the Treatment of Myocardial Ischemia" was a double blind randomized placebo controlled study in which we included patients more or equal 6 months after Q-wave myocardial infarction with systolic myocardial dysfunction (ejection fraction <35%), not requiring myocardial revascularization, receiving stable optimal medical therapy for more or equal 8 weeks, and with implanted cardioverter-defibrillator. Transplantation of MBMC was guided by fluoroscopy and tridimensional NOGA XP Cardiac Navigation System.

The Siberian Chemical Combine (SCC) is located in Seversk (formerly known as Tomsk-7) in the Tomsk Region of the Russian Federation. The main contribution of radionuclides in the SCC process water discharged into the Tom River was from the single-pass reactors, now removed from service (the last SCC reactor was shutdown on June 5, 2008). The data on the concentrations of (90)Sr, (137)Cs, (239,240)Pu and other artificial radionuclides in water, bottom sediments and flood-plain soils of the Tom and Ob rivers from Tomsk to the confluence of the rivers, are presented and discussed.
