Introduction: Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) poses a significant therapeutic challenge, primarily due to delayed diagnosis and the limited efficacy of existing treatments.

Methods: To understand the pathogenesis and identify diagnostic biomarkers for LUAD in the early stage, we investigated differential miRNA expression in 33 stage I LUAD patients between tumor and matched paracancerous tissues by Illumina Sequencing. Target genes of differentially expressed miRNAs were predicted using TargetScan and miRDB databases and further analyzed by GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis.

Unlabelled: The oral consumption of collagen hydrolysates derived from various animal tissues has been demonstrated to have beneficial effects on skin health, particularly in combating the signs of aging. Here in this study, a novel animal-derived FS-Collagen hydrolysates were developed and its effects against skin aging was analyzed in a new mice skin aging model established through a combination of UV irradiation and d-galactose induction. 8 Weeks of oral FS-Collagen administration demonstrated significant protective effects against skin aging in mice, evidenced by the preservation of the skin's macroscopic appearance, the restoration of skin composition and structure, an enhancement in antioxidant capacity and the inhibition of inflammation.

Unlabelled: An increase in third-party commercial resources targeted towards medical students has led to substantial changes in the way students prepare for medical assessments. A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to identify the third-party resources most used by medical students. A total of 1056 citations were screened with 19 full-text studies included.

Al(III)-based adsorbents have a strong affinity for F, but suffer from problems such as poor structural stability, easy decomposition, and recycling difficulties in the powdered form. Herein, for the efficient removal of F from wastewater, magnetic chitosan/AlOOH/polyethyleneimine (MCAlP) adsorbents with a hierarchical porous structure, multifunctional groups, and structural stability were constructed through chelation, cross-linking, and immobilization strategies using chitosan as a carrier. The adsorption capacity of MCAlP for F was found to be 14.

Large hydropower projects (LHPs) can generate significant direct socio-economic and environmental (SEE) impacts, which may radiate and accumulate gradually through the supply/consumption chains over different development periods. Therefore, a dynamic hydroengineering equilibrium analysis (DHEA) model is developed in this study to comprehensively quantify the cumulative indirect SEE impacts of LHPs during their construction and long-term operation period. The proposed DHEA model will be applied initially to the Baihetan hydropower project (BHT), the second-largest LHP in the world, which recently commenced operation.
