Background: This study examined 1071 adult primary kidney transplants from the French-controlled donation after the circulatory determination of death (cDCD) program, which uses normothermic regional perfusion (NRP), and involves short cold ischemia times (CIT) and constrained asystole times differing by donor age.

Methods: Logistic regression identified risk factors for primary nonfunction (PNF), delayed graft function (DGF), and graft failure.

Results: Risk factors for PNF included donor hypertension, admission for ischemic vascular stroke, and HLA DR mismatches.

Objective: To generate and apply a novel workflow method to assess the quality of data from the Veterinary Committee on Trauma (VetCOT) registry.

Animals: Canine and feline trauma patient data entered by identified and verified Veterinary Trauma Centers into the VetCOT registry between April 2017-December 2018 were retrieved for analysis.

Methods: Analysis software (RVetQual) was created in the R programming language to compare 5,000 cases exported from the VetCOT registry with samples of original corresponding records from 6 veterinary trauma centers.

We previously developed an in vitro model of the human blood-brain barrier (BBB) based on the use of endothelial cells derived from CD34-hematopoietic stem cells and cultured with brain pericytes. The purpose of the present study was to provide information on the protein expression levels of the transporters, receptors, tight junction/adherence junction molecules, and transporter-associated molecules of human brain-like endothelial cells (hBLECs). The absolute protein expression levels were determined by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry-based quantitative targeted absolute proteomics and compared with those from human brain microvessels (hBMVs).

Objectives: Report the reasons that lead families to refuse organ donation during their close solicitation by hospital coordination.

Material And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted between 2012 and 2015, including 148 (34%) refusal of organ donation among 426 patients identified in a state of brain death. A questionnaire of the family was completed for each interview.

(1)H NMR is now a standard method to determine de novo primary sequence of all sorts of glycans. These last 30 years, tens of thousands of oligosaccharide sequences have been elucidated by NMR spectroscopy in conjunction with other physico-chemical methods including mass spectrometry and gas chromatography. Most of these sequences are now compiled and available in several web databases recently unified in publicly available GlycomeDB, along with sets of experimental data.
