Introduction: Immune dysregulation plays a major role in cancer progression. The quantification of lymphocytic spatial inflammation may enable spatial system biology, improve understanding of therapeutic resistance, and contribute to prognostic imaging biomarkers.

Methods: In this paper, we propose a knowledge-guided deep learning framework to measure the lymphocytic spatial architecture on human H&E tissue, where the fidelity of training labels is maximized through single-cell resolution image registration of H&E to IHC.

Background: Red blood cell (RBC) alloimmunization (AI) is a well-known complication of RBC transfusions, which results in the formation of alloantibodies to non-self antigens on donor RBCs, putting patients at risk of transfusion-related complications. The rate of AI with RBC transfusions in the general hospitalized population is estimated to be 2%-3%. However, some patients who are deemed "transfusion-dependent" require regular transfusions of blood products due to persistently low cell counts, putting them at even greater risk of RBC AI and increased morbidity.

Recent advances in computational image analysis offer the opportunity to develop automatic quantification of histologic parameters as aid tools for practicing pathologists. We aim to develop deep learning (DL) models to quantify nonsclerotic and sclerotic glomeruli on frozen sections from donor kidney biopsies. A total of 258 whole slide images (WSI) from cadaveric donor kidney biopsies performed at our institution ( ) and at external institutions ( ) were used in this study.

Rationale: Pulmonary artery intimal sarcoma is a rare tumor with exceptionally high mortality and easily misdiagnosed as pulmonary thromboembolism pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) due to the nonspecific clinical presentation and symptom. Misdiagnosis or untimely diagnosis makes the disease progress to an advanced stage and eventually leads to a poor prognosis.

Patient Concerns: A 37-year-old Chinese female presented with chest tightness and dyspnea for 3 months.
