Objective: From a preventive perspective, this study reviewed the literature on protective factors against depressive symptoms in high-risk children and adolescents.

Methods: We conducted a thorough search of the PubMed, APA, EMCare, and Embase databases for studies published between 1946 and August 25, 2023. We included only longitudinal studies that analyzed protective factors for depressive symptoms in high-risk children or adolescents, excluding cross-sectional studies, reviews, and pre-clinical studies.

Background: Perinatal and prenatal risk factors may be implicated in the development of bipolar disorder, but literature lacks a comprehensive account of possible associations.

Methods: We performed a systematic review and meta-analyses of observational studies detailing the association between prenatal and perinatal risk factors and bipolar disorder in adulthood by searching PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and Psycinfo for articles published in any language between January 1st, 1960 and September 20th, 2021. Meta-analyses were performed when risk factors were available in at least two studies.

Purpose: Perivascular, or Virchow-Robin, spaces of the brain represent interstitial fluid-filled spaces continuous with subpial spaces, and not invagination of cerebrospinal fluid-filled subarachnoid spaces. Regression of a dilated, or even giant, perivascular space occurs rarely. The purpose of this paper is to describe magnetic resonance imaging evidence of complete regression of dilated perivascular spaces (dPVSs).
