[A vagus lesion as a complication of the catheterization of the internal jugular vein?].

Internal jugular vein cannulation is reputed to be a safe procedure. This is a report on five cases in which lesions of the tenth cranial nerve occurred after internal jugular cannulation. The main symptoms are hoarseness, problems of deglutition and aspiration.
