Background: To assess the contribution of ultrasound in diagnosing occupational carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), compare it with electromyography (EMG) results, and evaluate the ultrasound characteristics of CTS patients.

Methods: A nine-month cross-sectional study (January-September 2021) involved CTS patients and a control group, utilizing a structured form for data collection. EMG was performed on the patient group ('cases') and ultrasound examinations were conducted on both groups.

Introduction: obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is the most common sleep-related breathing disorder. Knowledge about OSAS incidence trends could be extremely useful in assessing health needs and implementing preventive measures accordingly. This study aimed at the epidemiological and clinical specificities of OSAS and to give an update on its current chronological trends.

Introduction: The sympathetic activation is considered to be the main mechanism involved in the development of cardiovascular diseases in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The heart rate variability (HRV) analysis represents a non-invasive tool allowing the study of the autonomic nervous system. The impairment of HRV parameters in OSA has been documented.

[Reversible peripheral neuropathy induced by vitamin B12 deficiency].

Objective: To describe an electroclinical presentation of a peripheral neuropathy in a patient who suffered from vitamin B12 deficiency.

Patient And Methods: We report the case of a 56-year-old man who, 17 years after a subtotal gastrectomy, presented with a diffuse sensory-motor demyelinating peripheral neuropathy with multifocal alteration of conduction confirmed by electromyography. Its causal relationship with vitamin B12 deficiency was biologically demonstrated.
