The organization and dynamics of the spectrin-actin membrane cytoskeleton play a crucial role in determining the mechanical properties of red blood cells (RBC). RBC are subjected to various forces that induce deformation during blood microcirculation. Such forces also regulate membrane tension, leading to Piezo1 channel activation, which is functionally linked to RBC dehydration through calcium influx and subsequent activation of Gardos channels, ultimately resulting in variations in RBC volume.

A digit-tracking technique (Digitrack) has been developed based on the exploration of blurred images on a tablet with the finger, related to the exploration of images during eye-tracking. In this work, we propose a signal processing technique for beam-steering radar architectures allowing concurrent two-dimensional (2-D) localization and vital signs monitoring of human subjects. We demonstrated it by using a single-input single-output (SISO) frequencymodulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar which integrates two frequency-scanning antennas (FSAs). This method is capable of isolating the Doppler signal generated by each single subject from the contributions of all the reflections in the monitored environment.
