Background: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from bone marrow play an increasingly important role in regenerative medicine due to their capacity to promote tissue regeneration in various clinical contexts. Applications include the treatment of osteoarthritis, bone regeneration post-injury, and the management of conditions such as Crohn's disease, alopecia, and nervous system reconstruction. Accurate quantification of MSCs within Bone Marrow Concentrates (BMCs) is essential for ensuring the quality and efficacy of these cell therapy products in clinical settings.

In regenerative medicine, stromal cells are supposed to play an important role by modulating immune responses and differentiating into various tissue types. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of heparin, frequently used as an anticoagulant in human platelet lysate (HPL)-supplemented cell cultures, on the expression of non-coding RNA species, particularly microRNAs (miRNA), which are pivotal regulators of gene expression. Through genomic analysis and quantitative RT-PCR, we assessed the differential impact of heparin on miRNA expression in various stromal cell types, derived from human bone marrow, umbilical cord and white adipose tissue.

Bronchoscopy courses should be an integral part of bronchoscopy training. Course graduates should be familiar with the indications, prerequisites and technical possibilities of bronchoscopy. In addition to theoretical content, practical bronchoscopic skills are taught and trained in small supervised groups using various methods of simulation-based bronchoscopy training.
