Piracanjuba (Brycon orbignyanus) is an endangered fish species from the Neotropical region. The establishment of a cryobank using spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) and subsequent production of a germline chimera is thus a promising strategy for such species. In the present work, procedures for the isolation and cryopreservation of piracanjuba SSCs and subsequent transplantation into sterile recipients were established.

Spermatogonia cryopreservation can be a strategy for future conservation actions. The neotropical Siluriformes Pseudopimelodus mangurus was already classified as vulnerable on the Red List of Threatened Species. P.

Primordial germ cells (PGCs) constitute an important cell lineage that directly impacts genetic dissemination and species conservation through the creation of cryobanks. In order to advance the field of animal genetic cryopreservation, this work aimed to recover intact PGCs cryopreserved in embryonic tissues during the segmentation phase for subsequent in vitro maintenance, using the yellow-tailed tetra (Astyanax altiparanae) as a model organism. For this, a total of 202 embryos were distributed in two experiments.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to compare the Fazekas scoring system and quantitative white matter hyperintensity volume in the classification of white matter hyperintensity severity using a fully automated analysis software to investigate the reliability of quantitative evaluation.

Materials And Methods: Patients with suspected cognitive impairment who underwent medical examinations at our institution between January 2010 and May 2021 were retrospectively examined. White matter hyperintensity volumes were analyzed using fully automated analysis software and Fazekas scoring (scores 0-3).
