Optimal combination of chlorhexidine bigluconate with ascorbic acid, succinic acid, and zinc oxide was found as a result of comparative trials. The composition shows antioxidative effects and is capable of initiating antibody producing and phagocytosis. This combination can be used as an active substance of orodispersible tablets for the treatment respiratory tract infections.

[Effect of the transcranial electrical stimulation of the endorphinergic brain structures on the functional activity of hepatocytes after toxic exposure].

Biochemical events of the rat hepatocytes cytolysis and deterioration of their synthetic activity and detoxification ability, as well as morphological events of lipid degeneration after acute poisoning with dichloretane and CCl4, were significantly reduced by effects of transcranial stimulation (TES). Blockade of the TES effects with naloxone revealed its endorphinergic nature. Combined effects of the TES and Essenciale preparation were lower than separate those of these agents.

[Combined injuries of the eye by shots from gas barrel guns for self defense].

Combined (mechanical and chemical) injury to the eye was induced by shooting from gas guns of 8 and 9 mm caliber to the eyes of biomannequins from a distance of 50 cm. Mechanical particles released during shot (intact and partially burnt gunpowder and other components of the shell) may be carrying a chemical on their surface, which, when getting into the wound channel of ocular membranes, diffuses to the adjacent tissues and injures them. These data necessitate comprehensive studies of injuries to the eyes caused by shots from gas barrel guns, which are to be carried out by clinical ophthalmologists, toxicologists, and forensic medics in order to identify all the possible consequences of injuries caused by irritants, accurately assess the duration of the posttraumatic process in the victims, and evaluate bodily injuries.

[Effectiveness of alupent in disorders of the pulmonary surfactant system caused by chlorophos poisoning].

Acute oral chlorophos poisoning of laboratory animals was shown to result in a decrease of the pulmonary surfactant system according to the severity of intoxication. Alupent in combination with atropine and dipyroxime prevented the disturbances of the system.
