Radiometric surveys in radiotherapy bunkers have been carried out in Brazil for many years, both by the same radiotherapy facility for verification of shielding as by the regulatory agency for licensing and control purposes. In recent years, the Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) technique has been gradually incorporated into many facilities. Therefore, it has been necessary to consider the increased leakage component that has an important impact on the secondary walls.

Pseudomyogenic hemangioendothelioma (PHE) is a rare indolent vascular tumor that typically has a multifocal presentation and involves multiple tissue planes. This report describes a 34-year-old man with multiple infiltrated brown papules and plaques on his left leg that had evolved for 6 months. The skin biopsy revealed a dermal and subcutaneous neoplasm composed of fascicles of spindle cells with atypia and epithelioid cells with prominent nucleoli and abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm.

Risk assessment deals with processes, accident-initiating events, barriers and risk ratings to unveil the fragility and weakness of some processes; within this study, specifically related to radiation therapy facilities. Barriers are technical or organizational safety measures put in place to avoid, prevent, detect, control, reduce or mitigate the consequences of an accident once an initiating event has occurred. In this work, radiological risk analysis was performed for a set of 20 Brazilian radiotherapy facilities making use of the freeware sevrra risk-management software.
