The Impact of a Creativity Camp Intervention on Depression and Well-Being in Adolescents.

Depression is a serious public health problem that often emerges during adolescence. Many adolescents do not respond to standard treatments, necessitating the development of novel interventions. We conducted a preliminary study to assess the impact of a novel creative arts intervention on depression and well-being in adolescents.

Psychometric Properties of the PANS 31-Item Symptom Rating Scale.

Pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome (PANS) is characterized by sudden onset of obsessive-compulsive disorder and/or eating restriction with associated neuropsychiatric symptoms from at least two of seven categories. The PANS 31-Item Symptom Rating Scale (PANS Rating Scale) was developed to identify and measure the severity of PANS symptoms. The objective of this study was to define the psychometric properties of the PANS Rating Scale.

A Mobile Application Adjunct to Augment Cognitive-Behavioral Group Therapy for Adolescents with Social Anxiety: Feasibility and Acceptability Results from the Wiring Adolescents with Social Anxiety via Behavioral Interventions Pilot Trial.

Cognitive-Behavioral Group Therapy (CBGT) is an established treatment for Social Anxiety (SA). However, diagnostic recovery rate is only 20.5% in CBGT, and up to 50% of patients remain symptomatic posttreatment.

Spin-Wave Optics in YIG Realized by Ion-Beam Irradiation.

Direct focused-ion-beam writing is presented as an enabling technology for realizing functional spin-wave devices of high complexity, and demonstrate its potential by optically-inspired designs. It is shown that ion-beam irradiation changes the characteristics of yttrium iron garnet films on a submicron scale in a highly controlled way, allowing one to engineer the magnonic index of refraction adapted to desired applications. This technique does not physically remove material, and allows rapid fabrication of high-quality architectures of modified magnetization in magnonic media with minimal edge damage (compared to more common removal techniques such as etching or milling).
