Background: Diagnostic and treatment disparities exist among sociodemographically diverse families with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). These disparities may be partially explained by the lack of information researchers and providers have regarding the unique experiences of diverse populations.
Aims: This study aimed to explore sociodemographic predictors of parents' perceptions about their children's ASD and families' adjustment.
N-myristoyl transferase (NMT) catalyzes the transfer of the fatty acid myristate from myristoyl-CoA to the N-terminal glycine of substrate proteins, and is found only in eukaryotic cells. The enzyme in this study is the 451 amino acid protein produced by Candida albicans, a yeast responsible for the majority of systemic infections in immuno-compromised humans. NMT activity is essential for vegetative growth, and the structure was determined in order to assist in the discovery of a selective inhibitor of NMT which could be developed as an anti-fungal drug.

Naturally occurring resistance arises from mutation of Arg-136 which hydrogen bonds to the coumarin ring of novobiocin. Virtually complete NH, C alpha H, C beta H 15N, 13C alpha, and 13C beta assignment of the 175-residue recombinant protein, methionyl-[Cys-17-Ser]-hG-CSF, was achieved by use of three-dimensional (3D) heteronuclear 1H-15N and triple-resonance 1H-15N-13C experiments. Spectra recorded at 750 MHz aided the assignment of severely overlapped regions.
