Eye movements (EM) during naming alphabetic versus logographic stimuli in children with and without developmental dyslexia (DD) were examined for each stimulus separately to identify conspicuous characteristics that influence naming performance. 40 children (group DD = 18; control group C = 22) were taught Chinese characters. EM were recorded during naming alphabetic words, pictures and Chinese characters.

Design And Methods: Full-field electroretinography was conducted on 73 healthy participants aged 14-73 using an extended ISCEV standard protocol that included an additional 9 Hz flicker stimulus for assessing rod function and special paradigms for isolated On-Off and S-cone responses. Correlation coefficients and best-fit regression models for each parameter's age-dependency were calculated.
Typically catalysed by transition metals, alkene isomerisation is a powerful methodology for preparation of internal olefins. In contrast, the use of more earth abundant main group reagents is limited to activated substrates, requiring high temperatures and excess stoichiometric amounts. Opening a new avenue for progressing this field, here we report applications of bulky sodium amide NaTMP (TMP=2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidide) when partnered with tridentate Lewis donor PMDETA (N,N,N',N'',N''-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine) in catalytic alkene isomerisation of terminal olefins under mild reaction conditions.

Methods: This retrospective study analyzed data from 39 ACHM patients, 20 BCM patients, and 26 controls. Central foveal thickness was obtained using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography, while amplitude and implicit time (IT) of a- and b-waves were extracted from the ISCEV Standard dark-adapted 3 cd.
The proliferation of polymer science and technology in recent decades has been remarkable, with synthetic polymers derived predominantly from petroleum-based sources dominating the market. However, concerns about their environmental impacts and the finite nature of fossil resources have sparked interest in sustainable alternatives. Bio-based polymers, derived from renewable sources such as plants and microbes, offer promise in addressing these challenges.
