Oligodendrocyte precursor markers have become of great interest to identify new diagnostic and therapeutic targets for diffuse gliomas, since state-of-the-art studies point towards immature oligodendrocytes as a possible source of gliomagenesis. Brain enriched myelin associated protein 1 (BCAS1) is a novel marker of immature oligodendrocytes and was proposed to contribute to tumorigenesis in non-central nervous system tumors. However, BCAS1 role in diffuse glioma is still underexplored.

Introduction: Amino acid PET is a tool recommended by the main neuroimaging societies in the differential diagnosis between radionecrosis (RNC) and umour recurrence (TR) in brain tumours, but its use in our country is still limited. The aim of this work is to present our experience with 6-[F]FDOPA PET/CT (FDOPA) in brain tumours (primary and M1), comparing these results with other published results.
Material And Methods: Retrospective study of 62 patients with suspected tumour recurrence (TR): 42 brain metastases (M1) and 20 primary, who underwent FDOPA.
Objective: Eating-induced seizures (EIS) are a rare form of reflex seizures. The objective of this study was to report a series of cases of EIS involving patients admitted to our epilepsy unit, and to analyze the clinical characteristics, etiology, and treatment response of this type of infrequent seizure.
Methods: We performed a single-center retrospective analysis of all consecutive patients diagnosed with epilepsy with eating-induced seizures between 2008 and 2020.
Background: The microvessels area (MVA), derived from microvascular proliferation, is a biomarker useful for high-grade glioma classification. Nevertheless, its measurement is costly, labor-intense, and invasive. Finding radiologic correlations with MVA could provide a complementary non-invasive approach without an extra cost and labor intensity and from the first stage.

Tumour vascularity is associated with overall survival (OS), and the clinical relevance of vascular markers, such as rCBV, has already been validated. Nevertheless, molecular and clinical factors may have different influences on the beneficial effect of a favourable vascular signature.
