The statistical analysis of data, together with that found in 40 normal subjects, reveals the selective immunoactivation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and NK cells similar to that found during the course of acute viral diseases. In etiopathogenetic terms, results should therefore be considered as a possible demonstration of the viropathic genesis of this disease.
