The aim of this study is to evaluate the level of accuracy and precision of bone scan (BS), MRI, and digital radiography (DR) to measure long bone tumors to design custom-made prosthesis (CMP)/modular prosthesis (MP) in limb salvage surgery (LSS) with the help of phantom and patient's study. There are two separate groups: one is the phantom study and another one is the patient's study. The phantom study is done with the Jaszack Phantom for the Gamma camera and the indigenous phantom for the MRI and DR.

Phenotypic plasticity is the ability of individual genotypes to produce different phenotypes in response to environmental perturbations. We previously postulated how conformational noise emanating from conformational dynamics of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) which is distinct from transcriptional noise, can contribute to phenotypic switching by rewiring the cellular protein interaction network. Since most transcription factors are IDPs, we posited that conformational noise is an integral component of transcriptional noise implying that IDPs may amplify total noise in the system either stochastically or in response to environmental changes.

Global pollution is calling for advanced methods to remove contaminants from water and wastewater, such as TiO-assisted photocatalysis.  The environmental applications of titanium dioxide have started after the initial TiO application for water splitting by Fujishima and Honda in 1972. TiO is now used for self-cleaning surfaces, air and water purification systems, microbial inactivation and selective organic conversion.

We report the synthesis of HSO-modified biochars (SBCs) as solid-acid catalysts to activate HO at circumneutral pH under visible light radiation. Spent coffee grinds were pyrolyzed with TiO at 300, 500 and 600 °C followed by steeping in 5 M HSO and were used for the Fenton-like degradation of methyl orange (MO). The catalytic activity of SBC depended on the pyrolysis temperature and correlated well with the surface acidity and persistent free radical (PFR) concentration.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the role of bone scan (BS) and MRI measurement data in designing Custom Made Prosthesis (CMP) in Limb Salvage Surgery (LSS) in orthopedic oncology patients. The study was done on 126 patients, which include 88 males and 38 females. Pre-operative planning including determination of the osteotomy plane and dimension of the prosthesis was performed based on Tc99m MDP bone scan and MR images comparing with the histopathology examination (HPE) values.
