Synthesis and anti-inflammatory activity of 2-substituted-((N, N-disubstituted)-1, 3-benzoxazole)-5-carboxamides.

A series of 2-substituted-((N, N-disubstituted)-1, 3-benzoxazole)-5-carboxamides derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of 2-substituted-5-carbomethoxy benzoxazole with different secondary amines. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized on the basis of spectral (FT-IR, 1H NMR, MS) & elemental analysis. All these compounds were screened for anti-inflammatory activity using carrageenan induced rat paw edema method.
