Valorization of carbohydrate-rich biomass by conversion into industrially relevant products is at the forefront of research in sustainable chemistry. In this work, we studied the inulin conversion into 5-hydroxymethylfurfural, in deep eutectic solvents, in the presence of acidic task-specific ionic liquids as catalysts. We employed aliphatic and aromatic ionic liquids as catalysts, and choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents bearing glycols or carboxylic acids, as solvents.

The association between a specific single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) located within the SOCS3 gene as well as the likelihood of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progression in individuals with chronic hepatitis C virus (CHC) was found to be significant. We aimed to study SOCS3 gene polymorphisms at rs4969168 and rs4969170and HCC susceptibility in individuals with CHC.

The -substituted lactamides obtained were alkylated by using alkyl halides differing in alkyl chain length, obtaining organic salts that in most cases behaved as ionic liquids (ILs). Both aminolysis of PLA and alkylation of amides were carried out taking into consideration the basic principles of the holistic approach to green chemistry, applied at a laboratory scale, and carefully selecting the nature of the reaction solvent, temperature range, and amount of reagents.

Secondary purposes were to assess other body composition features changes and to assess the association of pre-therapy values and their changes over time with survival.
Material And Methods: Patients selected underwent R-CHOP(like) regimen for DLBCL, and underwent PET-CT before and after treatment.
