Olmesartan medoxomil (OLM) is the prodrug of olmesartan, an angiotensin II type 1 receptor blocker that has antihypertensive and antioxidant activities and renal protective properties. It exhibits low water solubility, which leads to poor bioavailability and limits its clinical potential. To improve the solubility of OLM, a host-guest inclusion complex (IC) between heptakis(2,6-di-O-methyl)-β-cyclodextrin (DMβCD) and the drug substance was obtained.

This study investigates the role of Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) in predicting the response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in patients with locally advanced breast cancer. A Diffusion Tensor Imaging magnetic resonance imaging (DTI MRI) sequence, evaluating water diffusion along tissue structures, was performed before and after two chemotherapy cycles. This study included 23 patients with 27 malignant masses, comparing changes in DTI parameters with Residual Cancer Burden (RCB) scores.

Bioactive compounds extracted from plants can provide wide health benefits. However, some molecules have limited applications as pharmaceuticals due to their limited solubility, poor bioavailability, and low stability when exposed to environmental factors. Their integration in formulations that can deliver them to physiological targets while preserving their biological activity can enhance their usage in improving human health.

The present paper aims to study the behavior of tailor welded blanks subjected to a single point incremental forming (SPIF) process from an experimental point of view. This process was chosen to deform truncated cone shapes of AA1050 aluminum alloy with different thicknesses. A uniaxial tensile test was performed to determine the mechanical characteristics of the alloy.
