Psychological factors in functional hypothalamic amenorrhea: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Psychological factors have been found to be associated with functional hypothalamic amenorrhea (FHA); however, their role in the onset or persistence of FHA is still understudied. The study aims to assess the associations of psychological factors with the presence vs the absence of FHA.

Methods: A systematic literature search has been conducted across the major databases (PubMed, PsycINFO, Scopus, and Embase) to explore the psychological factors associated with FHA.

IoT-Based Microclimate and Vibration Monitoring of a Painted Canvas on a Wooden Support in the Monastero of Santa Caterina (Palermo, Italy).

The main objective of this work is the characterization and observation of the performance of an IoT measurement and monitoring system in the field of cultural heritage conservation for assessing the health condition of artworks. This article also describes the application of this system to the monitoring of a canvas painting applied on a wooden support, an artwork from the 19th century by the painter Giuseppe Patricolo depicting , placed inside a niche in the Santa Caterina Monastery in Palermo (Italy). Considering the presence of the wooden structure, it is useful to measure not only microclimatic parameters such as temperature and humidity, but also vibrations that can in fact cause degradation phenomena in these artworks.

Coronary Cannulation After Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement: The RE-ACCESS Study.

Objectives: The aims of this study were to investigate the feasibility of coronary ostia cannulation after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and to assess potential predictors of coronary access impairment.

Background: Certain data concerning the feasibility and reproducibility of coronary cannulation after TAVR are lacking.

Methods: RE-ACCESS (Reobtain Coronary Ostia Cannulation Beyond Transcatheter Aortic Valve Stent) was an investigator-driven, single-center, prospective, registry-based study that enrolled consecutive patients undergoing TAVR using all commercially available devices.

The antiepileptic drug levetiracetam suppresses non-convulsive seizure activity and reduces ischemic brain damage in rats subjected to permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion.

The antiepileptic drug Levetiracetam (Lev) has neuroprotective properties in experimental stroke, cerebral hemorrhage and neurotrauma. In these conditions, non-convulsive seizures (NCSs) propagate from the core of the focal lesion into perilesional tissue, enlarging the damaged area and promoting epileptogenesis. Here, we explore whether Lev neuroprotective effect is accompanied by changes in NCS generation or propagation.

Prognostic value of urethral mobility and valsalva leak point pressure for female transobturator sling procedure.

Purpose: To analyze the influence of urethral mobility and Valsalva leak point pressure on postoperative outcomes of transobturator sling (TOT) for female stress urinary incontinence.

Materials And Methods: A prospective cohort was conducted including 66 patients submitted to TOT from March 2006 to May 2009. Urethral hypermobility was defined as mobility ≥ 30° on Q-tip test, and Valsalva leak point pressure (VLPP) was classified as greater than 60 cmH2O or 60 and less on preoperative urodynamics.
