Few histological studies have been devoted to rosacea, a common but ill-defined disease. We have examined histological sections obtained from 75 patients (41 men aged from 23 to 72 years and 34 women aged from 32 to 68 years), thereby confirming the diagnosis of rosacea. On average, 4 sections from each patient were examined.

Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) are found in the majority of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
