A Type V Aberrant Right Hepatic Duct Branching from the Cystic Duct: The Paramount Importance of Intraoperative Cholangiography in Supplementing the Critical View of Safety Technique in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.

In this report, we present a 38-year-old female with acute cholecystitis, in which an aberrant right hepatic duct draining directly into the cystic duct was revealed by intraoperative cholangiography during a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. This anomaly was classified as the class V variant using the Hisatsugu classification schema, which has an incidence of 1.02%.

Background: This study aims to determine if visceral obesity can be reduced after a brief preoperative diet in obese patients.

Methods: Forty morbidly obese patients were placed on a 1,000 kCal per day diet for 14 days before bariatric surgery. Patients had weight measurements and an abdominal ultrasound performed on days 1 and 14.

Background: Postoperative radiographs demonstrating pneumoperitoneum are a vexing problem for surgeons. This dilemma stems from uncertainty regarding the length of time for resolution of gas introduced operatively via either an open or a laparoscopic approach. Objective: To identify pharmacy faculty members' perceptions of psychological contract breaches that can be used to guide improvements in faculty recruitment, retention, and development.

Methods: A list of psychological contract breaches was developed using a Delphi procedure involving a panel of experts assembled through purposive sampling. The Delphi consisted of 4 rounds, the first of which elicited examples of psychological contract breaches in an open-ended format.
