There were studied Salmonella spp. isolated from various objects (sick patients, bacteria carriers, food, sewages) in the Krasnoyarsk region. Susceptibility to antimicrobial drugs was estimated with disc diffusion method.

[Photophysical properties and photodynamic activity of nanostructured aluminium phthalocyanines].

We developed water-soluble supramolecular complexes of aluminium phthalocyanine based on mesoporous silica nanoparticles and polyvinylpirrolidone containing rare photoactive nanoaggregates. Radiative lifetimes, extinction coefficients and energy of electronic transitions of isolated and associated metal phthalocyanine complexes were calculated. Nontoxic concentrations of synthesized nanocomposite photosensibilizers were in vitro determined.

Correlation between cytogenetic abnormalities in cells and metabolic shifts in children with spinal deformities.

We studied the relationship between cytogenetic abnormalities in buccal epithelial cells and metabolic shifts in children with scoliosis and kyphosis. The incidence of nucleus abnormalities and the corresponding metabolic shifts were found to depend on the presence of spinal deformities and ecological factors. The problem of formation of risk groups for spinal deformities in ecologically unfavorable regions is discussed.

[Use of a cytogenetic method for buccal epithelium study, and a method of laser correlation spectrometry for health disturbances monitoring in children].

Buccal epithelium cytogenetic disturbances were studied in schoolchildren from Moscow schools, a country school (Novgorod region) and a Moscow boarding school for chindren with musculoskeletal diseases (scoliosis and kyphosis). The minimal mean frequency of cells with karyorrhexis were revealed in children from an ecologically pure Novgorod region. Moscow schoolchildren demonstrated more than 13-fold higher level of this parameter.
