Comparative study of two different horizontal stabilisation methods in arthroscopically assisted coracoclavicular stabilisation for acute acromioclavicular joint dislocations-Good clinical outcome and no correlation to recurrent anteroposterior instability.

Purpose: The hypothesis of this study was that acromioclavicular K-wire transfixation is noninferior to horizontal FiberTape cerclage in terms of vertical and horizontal stability in the short follow-up period of acute acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) dislocations fixed with an arthroscopically assisted coracoclavicular single bundle endobutton cerclage system. The secondary aim was to investigate the impact of postoperative recurrent instability on clinical outcomes in these populations.

Methods: In this consecutive clinical trial, all patients who underwent surgery for acute AC joint dislocation between January 2017 and December 2021 were included.

Advanced maternal age (AMA) and 75 g oGTT glucose levels are pedictors for insulin therapy in women with gestational diabetes (GDM).

Objectives: Gestational diabetes (GDM) is a common complication during pregnancy that is strongly associated with adverse fetal and maternal outcomes. Advanced maternal age (≥35 years) is a known risk factor for GDM. Studies advocate that GDM comprises distinctive metabolic entities, suggesting an individualized approach based on early pregnancy characteristics (such as 75 g oGTT values, maternal age, obstetric history).

Safety and efficacy of Siddha management as adjuvant care for COVID-19 patients admitted in a tertiary care hospital - An open-label, proof-of-concept Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: COVID-19 resulted in loss of human lives owing to respiratory failure caused by dysregulated immune system. Though many treatments are evaluated, the most appropriate is yet to be established.

Objective: To determine the safety and efficacy of Siddha add-on therapy in COVID -19 in terms of accelerated recovery, reduced hospital stay & mortality and follow up assessment of post discharge status until 90 days as compared to the Standard Care management.

Radiative Capture on Nuclear Isomers: Direct Measurement of the ^{26m}Al(p,γ)^{27}Si Reaction.

We present the first direct measurement of an astrophysical reaction using a radioactive beam of isomeric nuclei. In particular, we have measured the strength of the key 447-keV resonance in the ^{26m}Al(p,γ)^{27}Si reaction to be 432_{-226}^{+146}  meV and find that this resonance dominates the thermally averaged reaction rate for temperatures between 0.3 and 2.

Evolution of Analytical Sciences in the United States: A Historical Account.

The current teaching and practice of analytical chemistry reflect the evolution of measurement science over time. Qualitative and quantitative measurements can be traced back to prebiblical times, have been important throughout human history, and today are key to the functioning of a modern society. This review is designed to provide a brief overview of the evolution of analytical science and a summary of the evolution, development, and growth of analytical chemistry in the United States, with emphasis on developments up to the mid-twentieth century.
