: An increasing number of studies have reported liver involvement in both children and adults with celiac disease (CD). This often manifests as isolated hypertransaminasemia or hepatic steatosis (HS). The aim of this study was to define the prevalence of hypertransaminasemia and HS in a pediatric population with CD before starting a gluten-free diet (GFD) and to analyze how the introduction of a GFD could modify this condition.

Factors influencing audiologic outcomes in ossiculoplasty for chronic otitis media: a prospective multicentre study.

Objectives: Chronic otitis media (COM) is a prevalent condition affecting auditory function. Ossiculoplasty is a known treatment strategy, but its effectiveness concerning the presence of cholesteatoma has not been extensively studied.

Methods: We conducted a multicentre study involving 153 patients diagnosed with COM without cholesteatoma (ncCOM) and with cholesteatoma (cCOM).

Oncologic and fertility outcomes in patients with juvenile granulosa cell tumor - a retrospective single centre analysis.

Background: Granulosa cell tumors (GCTs) are rare neoplasia that account for less than 5 % of all the ovarian tumors. Juvenile GCT histotype is generally observed in adolescent and young women, representing a very rare disease, so only a paucity of data are present in literature. The aim of this study is to analyse the oncologic and fertility outcome in our case series of juvenile GCTs.

Perovskite-Like Liquid-Crystalline Materials Based on Polyfluorinated Imidazolium Cations.

Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Halide Perovskites (HOIHPs) represent an emerging class of semiconducting materials, widely employed in a variety of optoelectronic applications. Despite their skyrocket growth in the last decade, a detailed understanding on their structure-property relationships is still missing. In this communication, we report two unprecedented perovskite-like materials based on polyfluorinated imidazolium cations.
