Zetaproteobacteria have been reported in different marine and terrestrial environments all over the globe. They play an essential role in marine iron-rich microbial mats, as one of their autotrophic primary producers, oxidizing Fe(II) and producing Fe-oxyhydroxides with different morphologies. Here, we study and compare the Zetaproteobacterial communities of iron-rich microbial mats from six different sites of the Lucky Strike Hydrothermal Field through the use of the Zetaproteobacterial operational taxonomic unit (ZetaOTU) classification.

The latter include helicoidal (Bouligand) structures that can generate circularly polarized light. These have a cryptic evolutionary history in part because fossil examples are unknown.

Bone matrix Osteotensors activate the patient's own stem cells to promote new bone formation through an autogenous growth factor cascade generated by a targeted flapless bone distraction before implant and/or bone graft therapy.
Materials And Methods: The maxillary and mandibular bone were activated 21 (for type I bone) to 45 days (for type IV bone) before implant and/or bone substitute installation.
Parotid pleomorphic adenoma is the most frequent tumor of salivary glands. The prognosis depends on the recurrences because they could lead to iatrogenic events (facial paralysis). Moreover the risk of malignant transformation increases with the number of local relapses.

Study Design: A French multicenter retrospective study (level of evidence 4) of children/adolescents treated for MEC between 1980 and 2010 was conducted.
Results: Median age of the 38 patients was 14 years.
