This study explores how entrepreneurs perceive success, the influence of their values on this perception, and the association between values and success. We surveyed 96 Irish entrepreneurs to capture their definitions of success, their own values, their perceptions of a successful entrepreneur's values, and various success metrics. We coded the qualitative responses regarding what success means to them using Schwartz's (1992) model of human values.

In this study, we analyzed the effects of including açaí kernel, in the experimental diets fed to horses on the intake and digestibility of their nutrient and the resultant effects on the behavior of horses. Introduction: Conventional three-lead ambulatory electrocardiogram recording (3L-AECG) is used for the quantitative diagnosis of arrhythmias. However, the lack of crucial information, such as QRS morphology and orientation, renders the 3L-AECG incomplete for planning electrophysiological interventions. The 12-lead AECG (12L-AECG) merges the temporal resolution 3L-AECG with the spatial resolution of the standard electrocardiogram (S-ECG).

Pneumococcal surface protein A (PspA) is an important virulence factor in Streptococcus pneumoniae that binds to lactoferrin and protects the bacterium from the bactericidal action of lactoferricins-cationic peptides released upon lactoferrin proteolysis. The present study investigated if PspA can prevent killing by another cationic peptide, indolicidin. PspA-negative pneumococci were more sensitive to indolicidin-induced killing than bacteria expressing PspA, suggesting that PspA prevents the bactericidal action of indolicidin.
