Intraoperative Radioguided Localization of an Occult Neuroendocrine Tumor of the Ileum.

We report the intraoperative radioguided localization of an occult well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumor of the ileum in a patient with a known neuroendocrine lymphonodal metastasis in the mesentery. Preoperative imaging included CT, PET/CT with 68 Ga-DOTATOC, and SPECT/CT with 99m Tc-HYNICTOC. These scans revealed morphological and functional properties of the primary tumor localized in the ileum.

High urea and pregnancy or conception in dairy cows: A meta-analysis to define the appropriate urea threshold.

Dietary proteins play an important role in reproduction, and increased dietary crude proteins, increased degradability of dietary proteins, and elevated blood or milk urea have been associated with decreased conception and pregnancy in many studies. The aim of this work was to provide a meta-analysis on the relationship between high milk or blood urea and pregnancy or conception, with a focus on defining the appropriate urea threshold associated with this issue. The meta-analysis included 61 different models from 21 papers.

[Clinico-functional data concerning chronic asthmatic bronchitis patients treated wih guacetisal].

Guacetisal was administered to a group of patients suffering from chronic asthmatic bronchitis. The drug in question was shown to possess a good fluidifying, expectorant and indirect anti-cough action, by means of an initial increase of the bronchial secretions and a subsequent progressive decrease of secretions towards the end of the treatment. The analysis of the respiratory parameters examined showed no modifications of statistical significance.
